After leaving the military with injuries sustained in combat I was awash in 120 count Percocet and Vicodin from American Lake VA hospital. Being a former combat medic I knew how bad these synthetic drugs can be on my system. When I asked the "Chop Shop" doc's for an alternative they tried to throw Methadone at me. 16yr veteran and I turned to medical cannabis for my musculoskeletal pain needs. After a week of sustained indica use I was much better and able to stand and walk without much pain. MMJ also made me realize that I had PTSD related anger issues. MMJ helped my mental health out much more than Zoloft or Ambien haze the VA likes to keep our vets in. Thank you voters and thank you Washington State for ending prohibition and helping your veterans.

In 2005 I caught pneumonia that put me in the hospital. At this time my doctor said I have emphysema & I only had about 48% lung capacity & I needed to stop smoking. At this time I smoked little cigars & marijuana. So I did the nicotine patches & quit. At 3 month check up I was at 68% lung capacity. I started smoking marijuana at this time because I suffer from chronic back pain. When I went back to have a 1yr check up my lung capacity was back up to 98%. So I proved to myself that it's not as damaging to lungs as it was first thought to be.
